2025 Harvest Dinner - Empty Bowls

Join C4 for our 2025 Harvest Dinner!

Our annual celebration will take place Friday September 19 at FREIGHT, bringing together everything our community loves: farm-fresh food, live music, and a silent auction—all in support of C4’s work for a healthier planet and community.

But in 2025, we’re adding a new layer of meaning. Each guest will receive a handmade ceramic bowl to fill with soup from local restaurant—and then take home as a sustainable keepsake.

Scroll down for details about the evening’s food, bowls, and auction.

Schedule

  • 5-6 pm: Happy Hour + Pick out your handmade bowl

  • 6-7:30 pm: Dinner

  • 7:30-9 pm: Live music & Silent Auction

Featuring Food By

❓What’s for dinner?

Get ready for a feast: comforting soups from Soup Hug, Chive Catering, and Silver Llama crafted with produce from Cloud City Farm and meat from Tenderfoot 🥣; a crisp seasonal salad 🥗; warm bread from local bakers 🥖; and sweet treats from Jaded Ladies 🍰. Every course will feature options to suit a variety of dietary needs, including gluten-free and vegan.

Featuring Bowls By:

Whistle for Dixie (Erin Farrow), Hello Fern Creations (Katie Anderson), Will Smith, Emily Seddon & various Community Artists thanks to Fire on the Mountain!

❓ How does this bowl thing work anyways?

When you arrive at FREIGHT, you’ll see tables filled with 150+ handmade bowls of all kinds. Pick the one you want—whether it’s a masterpiece or simply the one that speaks to you.

That bowl is yours to enjoy your dinner in—and take home as a keepsake. No extra cost, it’s included in your ticket. Come early for the best selection!

Silent Auction

Some of the 40+ businesses generously contributing auction items

This year’s auction is bigger than ever, with something for everyone from generous businesses near and far! Think:

⛷️⛳ Mountain adventures
🧘‍♀️💆‍♀️ Wellness & self-care
🍷🍺 Tasty treats & sips
🎨💍👕 Arts & style
🔦🛠️ Gear for the handy & adventurous

The auction will be hosted online via BidBeacon, going live Wed. 9/17 & closing Friday 9/19 at the Harvest Dinner. We’ll share the link as soon as it’s available.

I’m not in Leadville. Can I still bid on auction items?

While items will available at the Harvest Dinner to check out in person, no worries if you can’t make it to dinner! Anyone can bid online, and we’ll coordinate pickup or delivery with all winners, near and far.

Thank You to our Generous Sponsors

Why have ticket prices gone up?

The Harvest Dinner is our biggest (and only!) fundraiser of the year. Your ticket isn’t just for a seat at the table—it directly fuels C4’s work for a healthier planet and community. 🌱 Your support matters more than ever, especially as we contend with this year’s loss of $350,000 in federal funding.

But if cost is a barrier, don’t worry—we have sponsor-backed discounts so everyone can join. Email ellen@c4leadville.org and we’ll make it work! 💚

Climate Town Live! A Very Colorado Town Hall

Climate Town Live! A Very Colorado Town Hall

Wednesday, October 1 | 7 – 8:15 PM | Silverthorne Pavilion
Doors open at 6:30

Can climate change be…funny? Let’s find out! Join HC3 for an evening with comedian Rollie Williams.

Rollie is the creator and host of Climate Town, a YouTube series about the climate crisis, and co-creator of The Climate Denier’s Playbook. A Golden, Colorado native turned Brooklyn-based comedian, he also happens to hold a master’s degree in Climate Science & Policy from Columbia University.

While the climate crisis doesn’t exactly scream “comedy show,” for one night, Rollie will explore the lighter side of the defining challenge of our century. Using multimedia, sharp wit, and a healthy dose of research, he’ll unpack everything from oil propaganda to corporate misfeasance to our complex energy system. Witness the comedy phenomenon that critics are already calling, “not as depressing as I thought it would be!”

This event is FREE, but tickets are required. A special thanks to the Town of Silverthorne for their generous support in hosting this event.

Community Chipping Program - Pan Ark Neighborhood

  • 130 West 5th Street Leadville, CO, 80461 United States (map)

Wildfire mitigation happens at many scales, including around the home. ARWC is partnering with Lake County, Colorado State Forest Service, Leadville/Lake County Fire-Rescue, and Lake County Conservation District to help empower our community to take action to protect their homes and properties before a wildfire ignites. The program assists residents who wish to reduce slash build-up on their properties, but lack proper disposal options. By bringing staff and equipment into high-risk communities to provide support, we hope to help increase the pace and scale of home hardening and defensible space creation, ultimately reducing the likelihood of catastrophic wildfires in our communities.

FOLC: 2025 Twin Lakes Mt. Elbert Forebay Clean-Up

Join Friends of Lake County on July 30th, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM for the Twin Lakes Mt. Elbert Forebay Clean-up, a community effort to restore and protect this beautiful outdoor space. We will meet at the South Elbert Trailhead parking lot. Our focus will be on removing trash, cleaning up abandoned fire rings, and ensuring the area remains safe and enjoyable for all visitors. Over time, litter and improper fire use can impact the environment and wildlife—this is a great opportunity to give back and help maintain the natural beauty of Twin Lakes. We’ll meet at the Forebay before dividing into teams to cover key areas. Please wear sturdy shoes, bring work gloves, and be prepared to get your hands a little dirty for a great cause. Let’s work together to keep this special place clean and pristine!
